Motorola Edge 70 Plus Launched With 200MP Main Camera Alongside Watch Ultra and Snap Wireless Charger

Motorola has introduced several new products at IFA 2026 including the Motorola Edge 70 Plus smartphone, Moto Watch Ultra smartwatch and Moto Snap Wireless Charger. Here’s everything you need to know about the announced devices.

Motorola Edge 70 Plus – Key Features

One of the biggest highlights of the new Motorola Edge 70 Plus is the 200-megapixel primary rear camera featuring optical image stabilisation (OIS) and an f/1.8 aperture. It is accompanied by a 2-megapixel macro camera along with a 3-in-1 dedicated light sensor and flash. These components are placed inside a rectangular camera island on the rear panel. On the front, the phone gets a 32-megapixel selfie camera housed inside a centrally positioned punch-hole cutout.

The smartphone features a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a 2,772 x 1,272-pixel resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. Motorola claims a peak brightness of 5,200 nits. The display also supports HDR10 and HDR10+, making the phone suitable for watching movies and other HDR content.

It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset. The upper-mid-range processor is designed to deliver smooth performance for everyday use and should also be capable of handling light to moderate gaming.

Powering the smartphone is a 6,500mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging and bypass charging.

The Edge 70 Plus features dual speakers with Dolby Atmos and supports wired Hi-Res Audio. The phone comes with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It also carries an IP64 rating for water resistance.

Availability and Price

The Motorola Edge 70 Plus will be available in select European and Middle Eastern markets in the coming weeks. In the European Union, the base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at €529, while the 256GB storage variant will cost €599.

Motorola Edge 70 Neo will roll out in India over the coming months.

The Edge 70 Plus comes in four Pantone-certified finishes such Gray Lilac, Milky Blue, Mountain View, and Sage.

Moto Watch Ultra – Key Features

Alongside the smartphone, Motorola has launched the Moto Watch Ultra. Unlike the RTOS-based Moto Watch Fit and Moto Watch 120, the new smartwatch runs Google’s Wear OS 6.

The Moto Watch Ultra is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 chipset and comes with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. It packs a 550mAh battery that is claimed to deliver up to two days of battery life with the always-on display (AOD) turned off.

The smartwatch features a 1.5-inch pOLED display with a 466 x 466-pixel resolution. The screen supports a variable refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 60Hz and reaches up to 2,700 nits of peak brightness. Corning Gorilla Glass 3 provides protection for the display.

For connectivity, the Moto Watch Ultra has an integrated eSIM for LTE connectivity and dual-frequency GPS. The latter can be used for turn-by-turn navigation as well as tracking activities during workouts.

Motorola has also partnered with Polar to add several health and fitness software features. These include Activity Goal, Activity Score, Active Intensity Zone, Inactivity Alert, Smart Calories, Energy Sources and dedicated Running Coach software.

The Moto Watch Ultra has a starting MSRP of €429 and will be launched in select markets across Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, North America and Asia-Pacific in the coming weeks.

Moto Snap Wireless Charger – Key Features

Motorola has also announced the Moto Snap Wireless Charger for compatible Qi-enabled devices. The accessory supports up to 25W fast wireless charging on Qi2.2 devices and is designed to offer cooler and more efficient charging while consuming zero standby power.

Compatible Motorola devices can receive charging speeds of up to 30W when using Motorola’s own charging protocol. The charger comes with a 1.5-metre braided USB Type-C cable and supports magnetic cases, allowing users to attach it without removing the case.

The Moto Snap Wireless Charger is designed for quick charging between meetings, work sessions or other tasks. Its magnetic alignment system helps ensure a precise connection with compatible devices.

Motorola says the charger has been optimised to deliver efficient, cooler wireless charging. It also includes overheat and overcharge protection for safer charging sessions. The accessory has zero standby power consumption to help reduce unnecessary energy use. Its premium design is intended to fit easily on a nightstand or desk, as well as inside a carry-on bag.

The Moto Snap Wireless Charger will have a starting MSRP of €39 and is expected to roll out to select markets across Europe, the Middle East, Latin America and Asia-Pacific in the coming weeks.
