The Vivo V80 5G series is reportedly heading to India soon. Expanding the V-series lineup, the brand has just launched Vivo V80 Lite 5G in Pakistan and is scheduled to unveil it in in Malaysia on 3rd September. Notably, the Malaysian and Pakistani versions of the handset, however, are significantly different from each other. Anyhow, here’s what we know about Vivo V80 5G series India arrival so far.
Vivo V80 5G Series India Launch Date
According to exclusive 91Mobiles report based on information received through offline retail channels, Vivo is preparing to introduce the new series in India soon after its debut in Malaysia and Pakistan.
According to the repory, Vivo is planning to launch the Vivo V80 5G series in India during the first week of October.
The information is particularly relevant because the Vivo V series is largely focused on offline retail channels in India. As part of its preparations, Vivo is reportedly organising an event for retailers outside India from October 4 to October 7.
The Vivo V80 5G series is expected to be introduced during this three-day event. Based on this timeline, the India launch could take place on October 5 or October 6.
However, it is not yet clear whether the press event itself will be held in India or in another country.
Vivo V80 5G Expected Specifications
The standard Vivo V80 5G has already appeared in the GSMA database with model number V2630, suggesting that its launch is getting closer.
According to an old leak shared by tipster Sanju Choudhary @saaaanjjjuuu on X, the Vivo V80 5G could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. The smartphone is expected to feature a 6.59-inch display with a 144Hz refresh rate.

For battery, the Vivo V80 5G could pack a large 7,200mAh lithium-ion silicon-carbon battery with support for 90W fast charging. This would make the phone particularly interesting for users who prioritise battery life and fast charging.
The camera setup could include a 50-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with support for 3x optical zoom. Vivo could also bring ZEISS integration to the smartphone. For selfies and video calls, the phone is tipped to feature a 50-megapixel front camera.
The Vivo V80 5G could feature an aluminium alloy frame and may carry IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
It is important to note that all of these specifications are based on leaks and have not been officially confirmed by Vivo. The final specifications could therefore be different and we will have to wait for an official announcement to know more.
