We have already reported that Oppo is working on a wide foldable smartphone for its next major foldable smartphone launch. A previous tip had suggested that Oppo was testing a new book-style wide for early 2027. The development comes at a time when several smartphone brands are exploring larger foldable form factors as per reports. Anyhow, a fresh leak has now revealed more key details about its upcoming foldable plans. Here’s what we know for now.
Oppo Find N7 Wide Design Details Surface Online

According to Chinese tipster Smart Pikachu, Oppo’s next-generation wide foldable smartphone may arrive with improved display technology aimed at making the screen crease far less noticeable. The device is currently referred to as the Oppo Find N7 Wide, although we are not sure about the exact naming strategy yet.
The tipster also suggested that the device could feature a horizontally positioned camera module on the back panel.
That’s not all! Apart from the foldable phone, the leak suggests that Oppo is testing the successor to its flagship Ultra-series smartphone. The alleged Oppo Find X10 Ultra is reportedly being developed with extremely slim display bezels to enhance the viewing experience. It is also expected to retain a circular camera module on the back.
Oppo Find N7 Wide – Expected Specs and Launch Timeline

In a previous tip, well-known Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station has suggested that Oppo was currently testing a new book-style wide foldable smartphone. Although exact details were mentioned, it was projected to target a launch sometime in the first quarter of 2027.
According to the tipster, the prototype has a foldable inner display measuring around 7.6 inches paired with a 5.5-inch cover screen. It was also revealed that Samsung Display and BOE are reportedly working with Oppo on the development of the display panels.
On the hardware front, the foldable is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s future Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 processor, which is rumoured to be manufactured using a 2nm process. Oppo is also believed to be working on an upgraded hinge system that could further reduce the appearance of the display crease. This aligns with the latest claims pointing toward significant improvements in crease management for the upcoming foldable.
While Oppo has not officially confirmed the device, the latest leaks suggest that the company is focusing on both design refinement and display advancements as it prepares its next-generation foldable smartphone.
