Vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao has confirmed that every variant of the Vivo X Fold 6 will be equipped with a large 7,000mAh Blue Ocean battery. The device is also claimed to be the industry’s first smartphone to adopt fifth-generation silicon-anode battery technology.

The brand has incorporated Vivo’s third-generation semi-solid-state battery technology that is designed to improve power efficiency and overall endurance.

According to the company, the Blue Ocean battery system has been optimised across multiple levels. As a result, the Vivo X Fold 6 can reportedly deliver up to 9.8 hours of battery life in demanding Atomic Workbench usage scenarios. Vivo claims this translates to a 30 percent improvement in endurance compared to previous implementations.

The company also demonstrated the foldable’s ability to perform in challenging environments.

Vivo says the device remained operational in temperatures as low as minus 20 degrees Celsius. Another demonstration showcased the smartphone functioning underwater.

The Vivo X Fold 6 carries IPX8 and IPX9 water resistance ratings and is said to withstand strong water pressure. Vivo has also fitted the device with a lightweight hinge engineered to maintain reliable folding and unfolding performance over long-term use.

Vivo X Fold 6 – Enhanced Connectivity Features (Confirmed)

Vivo has confirmed that the upcoming foldable features its upgraded Global Signal Amplification System 3.0 backed by a proprietary 1+4 communication chipset architecture. This setup includes one dedicated signal amplification chip and four Wi-Fi enhancement chips designed to improve signal reception in difficult network environments.

To showcase its capabilities, Vivo demonstrated a voice call while skydiving from an altitude of 4,000 metres.

According to Vivo, the upgraded communication system is built to provide stable connectivity in environments such as high-speed trains, elevators, highways, and other areas where network coverage can be challenging.
