Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 has surfaced on the FCC certification platform adding to the growing list of leaks and certifications ahead of its expected debut. Here’s everything we know about the phone thanks to recents reports.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 FCC Certification Details
The latest FCC appearance was first spotted by 91mobiles and hints that the Galaxy Z Flip 8 could be nearing its official announcement.

According to an Element Materials Technology document shared by 91mobiles in its latest report, a “portable handset” carrying the model number SM-F776U has undergone RF exposure testing including a SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) evaluation.
SAR testing measures the amount of radio frequency energy absorbed by the human body while using a mobile device.
The report indicates that the handset complies with the safety standards established by regulatory authorities such as the FCC with radiation levels remaining within the prescribed limits.
Previously, a Samsung device believed to be the Galaxy Z Flip 8 was spotted on China’s CMIIT database with the model number SM-F7760. Based on the similarity in model numbers, the newly certified SM-F776U is believed to be the US variant of the upcoming foldable smartphone.
The FCC-related documentation also reveals support for a wide range of network technologies including GSM, WCDMA, LTE, 5G, and NB-NT N B255. It confirms the presence of several premium features such as NFC connectivity, wireless charging and wireless power sharing.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 – Specifications (Expected)
Leaks and reports suggest that the Galaxy Z Flip 8 could be powered by Samsung’s in-house Exynos 2600 processor built on a 2nm manufacturing process. The same chipset is reportedly used in the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus in select markets, which could mean flagship-level performance for Samsung’s upcoming clamshell foldable.
The smartphone is expected to feature a 6.9-inch AMOLED main display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The cover screen is tipped to measure 4.1 inches matching the size of the external display found on the Galaxy Z Flip 7.
The flip phone is rumoured to include a 50MP primary camera paired with an 8MP ultra-wide sensor on the rear. Selfies and video calls could be handled by a 10MP front-facing camera integrated into the display.
On the software front, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 is expected to become one of the first smartphones to ship with Android 17 out of the box layered with Samsung’s One UI 9 interface. The device is also tipped to pack a 4,300mAh battery.
As for launch, the company is expected to follow a launch timeline similar to last year for its upcoming foldable lineup. Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 in early July last year, so we may be looking at a similar time frame this year as well.
