OPPO is reportedly gearing up to launch the Reno 16 series in global markets including India in July. A new exclusive report from 91Mobiles citing tipster Sudhanshu has revealed the key specifications and official-looking renders of the global variants of OPPO Reno 16, Reno 16 Pro and Reno 16 FS. The leak also suggests that a new Reno 16 FS model will join the lineup. Here’s what we know thanks to the latest leak.
OPPO Reno 16 Pro Global Variant Specifications and Renders
According to the leak, the global version of the OPPO Reno 16 Pro will feature a compact design despite carrying premium hardware.
The smartphone is tipped to sport a 6.32-inch LTPS AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection. The device is also said to weigh just 188 grams.
Interestingly, this differs from the Chinese Reno 16 Pro, which features a larger 6.78-inch display. OPPO appears to be continuing its strategy of offering a more compact Pro model, similar to the Reno 15 series.
Under the hood, the Reno 16 Pro is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8550 chipset paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The camera setup could be one of its biggest highlights, featuring a 200-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom and OIS and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. Selfies and video calls are expected to be handled by a 50-megapixel front-facing camera.
The smartphone is also tipped to house a large 6,700mAh battery with support for 80W SuperVOOC fast charging. Additional features may include an aluminium frame, stereo speakers, NFC connectivity, and an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance.
OPPO Reno 16 Global Variant Specifications and Renders
The standard OPPO Reno 16 is expected to share much of its design and camera hardware with the Pro variant. It is tipped to feature the same 6.32-inch AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution although the refresh rate could be limited to 120Hz instead of 144Hz.
Powering the device may be Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor. The phone is also expected to pack a 6,000mAh battery with support for 80W charging.

On the camera front, it may feature a 50-megapixel primary sensor with OIS, a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. Similar to its siblings, the Reno 16 FS is expected to offer a 50-megapixel front camera.
