Xiaomi’s recently announced Redmi Turbo series is off to an intriguing start with leaks offering our first glimpse at the design of the Redmi Turbo 3 – the inaugural model in this new lineup.
While official details are scarce, the leaked renders and real-life images shed light on one of the most unique rear camera designs we’ve seen on a smartphone.
At first glance, the Redmi Turbo 3’s camera island appears to stretch across the entire top portion of the back panel.
However, a closer inspection reveals a rather unconventional setup.
The two main camera sensors are vertically stacked on the left side, with one rumored to be a massive 200MP primary shooter complete with OIS.
The circular camera module also features a tiny cutout, likely for a macro lens, accompanied by a ring-shaped LED flash and the Redmi logo.
This distinctive design sets the Turbo 3 apart from Xiaomi’s previous Redmi phones and most other smartphones on the market.
Beyond the innovative camera bump, the leaked renders showcase a dual-tone back panel with curved edges that should provide an improved grip.
The handset’s overall design appears sleek and modern, aligning with Xiaomi’s recent design language.
While the design is certainly eye-catching, the Redmi Turbo 3 seems poised to deliver impressive hardware as well.
A recent Geekbench listing pointed to a powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset paired with up to 16GB of RAM under the hood.
Previous leaks also suggest the presence of a large 5,500mAh battery with 90W fast charging support.
The display is rumored to be a 6.67-inch 120Hz OLED panel, offering a smooth visual experience.
On the software front, the Turbo 3 may run Xiaomi’s new HyperOS skin based on Android 14 out of the box.
If the numerous leaks are any indication, Xiaomi could officially unveil the Redmi Turbo 3 later this month.
As the launch nears, the company will likely begin teasing the smartphone’s arrival and confirming key launch details like pricing and availability.
