Leaks suggest the company may launch the device under the Xiaomi 18 Fold branding instead of the expected Mix Fold 5 name. As for features, we can expect notable camera and design changes.

Xiaomi Next-Gen Foldable

Tipster Kartikey Singh shared details in two posts on X, claiming that Xiaomi’s upcoming foldable may undergo a major redesign compared to earlier models such as the Mix Fold 4. The leaker suggested that the phone may adopt a more compact and wider design language that is increasingly becoming popular in the foldable category.

In addition to the new form factor, the leak also revealed early hardware details from a prototype device although these specifications may not necessarily appear in the final retail version.

The upcoming Xiaomi foldable is reportedly being tested with a triple-camera setup similar to the Huawei Pura X Max. The camera system is also expected to feature Leica branding. The main rear camera is tipped to use a 200-megapixel sensor similar to the rumoured Xiaomi 17 Max.
