Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo has shared details of the phone’s alleged engineering prototype revealing information about its display, chipset, cameras, battery, and charging capabilities.
While Xiaomi has not officially confirmed any of these details, the latest leak suggests the Xiaomi 18 Pro could bring significant improvements in photography, performance, and battery life.
Xiaomi 18 Pro Engineering Prototype Details (Leaked)
According to the tipster, the Xiaomi 18 Pro engineering unit features a custom 6.3-inch LTPO OLED flat display with an ultra-high-definition resolution. The screen is said to offer large-radius rounded corners and extremely slim bezels on all four sides aiming to provide an immersive viewing experience while maintaining a compact form factor.
Powering the smartphone is expected to be Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 flagship processor, which is reportedly based on a 2nm manufacturing process. The next-generation chipset is expected to deliver improvements in both performance and power efficiency compared to the current flagship platform.
The camera system appears to be one of the biggest upgrades on the Xiaomi 18 Pro. According to the leak, the smartphone is being tested with a 200MP primary camera featuring a 1/1.28-inch LOFIC sensor.
