Xiaomi has officially launched the Xiaomi 17 Max in China during the company’s May 2026 launch event. Apart from expanding the Xiaomi 17 lineup, the company also introduced Xiaomi YU7 GT electric vehicle, Xiaomi Band 10 Pro and Xiaomi Ear Clip TWS at the same event.

The Xiaomi 17 Max starts at CNY 4,799 (approximately Rs. 68,000) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant.
The 16GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB variants are priced at CNY 5,099 (roughly Rs. 72,000) and CNY 5,399 (around Rs. 76,000), respectively. Meanwhile, the top-end 16GB + 512GB model carries a price tag of CNY 5,799 (approximately Rs. 82,000).
The smartphone is currently available for pre-orders in China and is scheduled to go on sale starting May 25 through Xiaomi’s official online store.

Xiaomi has paired the processor with up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.1 internal storage. It runs HyperOS 3 based on Android 16.
The company has also equipped the device with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. And for security, it comes with a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
It also features a Leica-branded triple rear camera setup led by a 200-megapixel primary camera with Samsung HP9 sensor, f/1.65 aperture, 23mm focal length, and optical image stabilisation (OIS). The rear camera setup also includes a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with f/2.4 aperture plus support for up to 3x optical zoom and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera with f/2.4 aperture and a 102-degree field of view.
For selfies and video calls, the device sports a 32-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture. The phone supports video recording at up to 4K 30fps.
