The biggest design change visible in the recently leaked images is in the rear camera module. Unlike the rectangular layout of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra features a redesigned circular camera module. The phone sports a 6.73-inch AMOLED display with a 3200 x 1440 resolution, Xiaomi Shield Glass 2.0 protection, and an adaptive 1–120Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will pack Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset with configurations offering up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. It also comes with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
The camera setup includes:
CEO Lei Jun has already teased some sample images, highlighting the Ultra’s night photography capabilities.
There’s some confusion regarding the battery capacity. According to tipster Panda is Bald, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra could feature a 6,000mAh battery with 90W wired and 80W wireless charging.
However, another leak suggests that the global version will come with a 5,410mAh battery, similar to previous Ultra models, while the 6,000mAh battery could be exclusive to the Chinese variant.
For reference, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra’s Chinese and global models had almost identical specs except for battery size. Xiaomi seems to be following the same strategy this time as well.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is rumoured to start at €1,499 (approx $1,573 or INR 1,36,472) in Europe matching the Xiaomi 14 Ultra’s launch price.
The phone will first launch in China on February 22, followed by a global debut on March 2.
