Last week, Xiaomi announced the Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G smartphone in India, with a starting price of Rs 62,999. The smartphone’s strengths include 120W fast charging, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU, and a 50MP triple rear camera configuration. The OnePlus 10 Pro 5G, which was introduced in India at a starting price of Rs 66,999, will compete with the newly unveiled smartphone.

The Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G comes in two available RAM configurations. The 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model costs Rs 62,999, while the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model costs Rs 66,999.
Furthermore, it is available in three stunning colour options: Couture Blue, Noir Black, and Olive Mauve. Buyers would receive an immediate discount of Rs 6,000 on ICICI Bank cards as part of the sale offerings. Customers would also receive a Rs 4,000 introductory discount on both smartphone models. After these discounts, the basic model would cost Rs 52,999, while the 12GB RAM variant will cost Rs 56,999.
A 6.73-inch WQHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display is included on the Xiaomi 12 Pro 5. The adaptive refresh rate of the LTPO2 screen may go as low as 1Hz. The phone also has a 480Hz touch sampling rate, which improves gaming performance. The smartphone also has twin Harmon Kardon speakers that enable Dolby Atmos. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU powers the phone, which has up to 12 GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It runs MIUI, which is based on Android 12.
A 50-megapixel Sony IMX707 wide-angle main sensor, a 50-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens are housed in the Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G’s triple rear camera configuration. The smartphone has a 32-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro features a 4,600 mAh battery with 120W HyperCharge capability. It also supports 50W wireless rapid charging. Xiaomi claims that the 12 Pro can be fully charged in 20 minutes using the Boost Mode. It will charge to 100% in 24 minutes when used in normal mode. Three years of Android upgrades and four years of security updates are promised by Xiaomi.
