Vivo has introduced the Y12, the latest addition to its Y-series.
This new smartphone, available in Green and Purple, features a flat edge design and is tailored for users looking for a balance of functionality and aesthetics.
The Vivo Y12 is priced at CNY 999 (around Rs 11,900) for the 6GB + 128GB model. Currently available in China, details about its global and Indian availability are still pending.
At the heart of the Vivo Y12 is the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC with a Mali G52 GPU.
It includes 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB eMMC storage, enhancing its performance and storage capacity.
The device also supports a 6GB Extended RAM feature.
The Y12 is equipped with a 5000mAh battery supported by 15W fast charging.
Its dual-rear camera setup includes a 13MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor.
The front-facing 8MP camera is suitable for selfies and video calls.
For security, the Y12 offers a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and face unlock.
The smartphone’s display is a 6.56-inch LCD with HD+ resolution, featuring a 60Hz refresh rate and a waterdrop notch.
Running on OriginOS 3.0 based on Android 13, the Y12 offers an updated user interface.
Connectivity options include a 3.5mm audio jack and a USB Type-C port, along with a microSD card slot for up to 1TB of extra storage.
