A new leak has revealed more details about Vivo’s upcoming X500 series and shares about what could be the Vivo X500 Pro Mini. The smartphone is expected to be one of four models in the X500 lineup and is tipped to bring flagship-grade hardware including a next-generation MediaTek processor and an advanced camera system. Here’s what we know.

Vivo X500 Pro Mini – Specifications (Leaked)

According to tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the Vivo X500 Pro Mini is currently being tested with MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset expected to be built on a 2nm process. The device is also said to feature a compact 6.37-inch display, which makes it one of the smaller flagship smartphones in the segment.

On the camera side, the phone is tipped to feature a 50-megapixel primary camera with a large 1/1.28-inch sensor and LOFIC technology. The main sensor is expected to be accompanied by a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera although the leak suggests that the ultra-wide sensor itself will be relatively small compared to the primary shooter.

For portrait photography, Vivo is reportedly planning to include a 64-megapixel telephoto camera with an 85mm focal length. The periscope telephoto lens is also said to support macro photography allowing users to capture close-up shots with enhanced detail. These camera details align with a previous report that hinted at a similar rear camera setup for the device.

Vivo X500 Pro Series To Feature 85mm Periscope Lens

The same tipster also claimed that all Vivo X500 Pro-series smartphones will feature an 85mm periscope telephoto camera. This effectively confirms that the leaked device belongs to the Pro lineup.

However, it remains unclear whether Vivo will market the smartphone as the Vivo X500 Pro or Vivo X500 Pro Mini.

Vivo X500 Series – What To Expect?

The leak also sheds light on the rest of the upcoming X500 linup. The standard Vivo X500 is expected to feature a 6.59-inch display and run on the Dimensity 9500 chipset built on a 3nm process. Interestingly, the base model is tipped to retain the same processor generation as its predecessor.

Meanwhile, the Vivo X500 Pro Max is rumoured to arrive with a larger 6.85-inch OLED display featuring 2K resolution and LTPO technology. Like the X500 Pro Mini, the Pro Max is expected to be powered by the flagship Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset.

The standard Vivo X500 could serve as a more accessible flagship option, while the X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max would target premium users with more advanced hardware and camera capabilities.

The Vivo X500 series is expected to debut in China before the end of October 2026. Reports suggest that the lineup will initially include the Vivo X500, X500 Pro (or X500 Pro Mini), and X500 Pro Max. The Vivo X500 Ultra is reportedly planned for a separate launch in early 2027.

As of now, Vivo has not officially confirmed any details about the X500 lineup.
