The Vivo X500 Pro has once again surfaced in leaks ahead of its expected launch in China. A well-known tipster from China has reiterated several key specifications that had previously appeared online, while also revealing a few additional details about the smartphone’s display and design. The latest leak largely matches earlier reports from July suggesting that Vivo’s upcoming compact flagship is shaping up as previously expected.
Vivo X500 Pro – Display and Design Details Tipped
According to the latest information shared by Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the Vivo X500 Pro is expected to be powered by a 2nm MediaTek Dimensity 9600-series processor.
The smartphone is tipped to feature a 6.37-inch flat LTPO display with 1.5K+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The X500 Pro is expected to be the compact model in the upcoming X500 lineup, positioned between the standard Vivo X500 and the larger Vivo X500 Pro Max.
The tipster also claims that the engineering prototype has been tested with a BOE OLED display panel that uses a new-generation light-emitting material, which could help improve display quality and efficiency.
In terms of design, the handset is said to adopt LIPO packaging technology that allows it to feature ultra-narrow bezels of equal width on all four sides. The rear is expected to retain Vivo’s familiar centrally positioned circular camera module, a design seen on previous X-series smartphones.
Vivo X500 Pro – Expected Camera Specifications
Earlier reports had suggested that the Vivo X500 Pro could feature a 50-megapixel LOFIC primary camera along with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera.
A more recent leak also indicated that the smartphone may include a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with an 85mm focal length, completing its rear camera setup.
Expected Launch Timeline
Vivo has not officially confirmed any of the leaked specifications so far. However, the Vivo X500 series, which is expected to include the Vivo X500e, Vivo X500, Vivo X500 Pro, and Vivo X500 Pro Max, is rumoured to launch in China in September.
The company is also expected to introduce the lineup in global markets later this year.
