Vivo X500 E Could Be a Rebranded Vivo V80, New Report Suggests

Highlights

  • Latest reports suggest the Vivo X500 E could be a rebranded Vivo V80 with Amazon Italy case listings showing a similar design.
  • The Vivo X500 E has reportedly appeared on the Google Play Console and Bluetooth SIG, carrying different model numbers.
  • Vivo has not confirmed any details of the upcoming smartphone yet.

The Vivo X500 E could launch as a rebranded version of the Vivo V80, according to a new report. Recent clues including chipset information and third-party phone cases listed on Amazon Italy, suggest that the two smartphones could share similar hardware and dimensions. However, Vivo has not confirmed whether the X500 E is a rebranded V80 yet. Moreover, some differences between the two devices may still be possible.

Here’s what we know about the rumoured Vivo X500 E and its possible connection to the V80.

Why the Vivo X500 E Could Be a Vivo V80 Rebrand?

The possibility of the Vivo X500 E being a rebranded Vivo V80 has gained attention following the appearance of third-party phone cases on Amazon Italy.

According to GSMArena, several cases are advertised as compatible with both smartphones. This suggests that the two devices could share the same or very similar dimensions.

The report also points to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset listed for the X500 E. Since the Vivo V80 uses the same processor, the chipset information provides another possible link between the two phones.

Vivo X500 E Appears on Google Play Console and Bluetooth SIG

The Vivo X500 E has been linked to multiple model numbers. According to the recent GSMArena report, the device appeared on the Google Play Console (GPC) with the model number V2648, while a Bluetooth SIG certification listed the model number V2656.

The Google Play Console listing reportedly points to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, which is also used in the Vivo V70 and Vivo V80.

The two model numbers suggest that the X500 E may be associated with more than one device identifier, although their exact relationship has not been confirmed.

Vivo X500 E vs Vivo V80: Expected Specs

The Vivo V80 was announced earlier this month with a 6.59-inch display, a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset and a 7,200mAh battery. The phone also features a triple rear camera setup comprising 50MP, 50MP and 8MP sensors.

The X500 E is expected to share some of these specifications if it is indeed a rebranded V80. However, its complete specifications have not been confirmed.

Could the Vivo X500 E Get a Bigger Battery or Better Telephoto Camera?

Rumour suggests that the Vivo X500 E could pack a 7,500mAh battery, which would be slightly larger than the 7,200mAh unit in the Vivo V80. However, the difference is relatively small and the reported battery capacity could be inaccurate.

There have also been reports suggesting that the X500 E could feature a 64MP periscope telephoto camera. This specification has not been confirmed and it remains unclear whether the phone will offer a different camera setup from the V80.

Vivo X500 E Launch Timeline and Availability

Vivo has not announced the X500 E’s launch date or confirmed its availability in India or other markets.

Meanwhile, the Vivo V80 was announced earlier this month with its base 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant priced at Rs 63,000 in India.
