Vivo devices from the upcoming Vivo X300 series have reportedly secured radio certification in China, hinting at a September launch. While the exact model name isn’t mentioned in the report, the report identified two models, i.e. V2502A and V2509A. Separately, the model V2509A has surfaced in Geekbench’s database, revealing details about its chipset, RAM, and operating system. Here’s everything we know about that.
According to the Geekbench screenshots getting circulated online, the Vivo model number V2509A is powered by the upcoming Dimensity 9500 processor. The CPU configuration features one ultra-core clocked at 4.21GHz (Travis), three cores at 3.50GHz (Alto), and four cores at 2.7GHz (Gelas). For graphics, it houses the Mali-G1-Ultra MC12 GPU.
It’s still unclear whether this model is the standard Vivo X300 or the X300 Pro.
The listing also confirms that the Vivo X300 series device will come with 16GB of RAM and run Android 16. In Geekbench tests, it scored 2,352 points in the single-core and 7,129 points in the multi-core benchmarks.
These scores are lower than expected for the Dimensity 9500, likely due to early testing. The final retail version is expected to deliver higher performance.
MediaTek is anticipated to officially announce the Dimensity 9500 on September 22 in China.
Speculation suggests that both the Vivo X300 and X300 Pro powered by this new chipset could launch before the month ends. In addition to the V2502A, the V2502DA variant has also received radio certification. Both are essentially the same device, with the V2502DA supporting the Beidou satellite short messaging service.
