Vivo has taken the wraps of of its latest lineup of flagship smartphones in China: the X100 Ultra, X100s, and X100s Pro.
Cameras are of course a going to be the major focus here.
The Vivo X100 Ultra has now become the ultimate flagship offering from Vivo surpassing the X100 Pro series launched a while back.
The X100s slots itself just in the middle of the two lineups, expanding Vivo’s premium offerings across the board.
The sale of the Vivo X100 Ultra commences on May 28, whereas the Vivo X100s and X100s Pro become available starting May 17.
The devices are currently exclusive only to China.

The Vivo X100 Ultra’s headlining act is its next-generation camera system.
Main camera is a 1-inch type Sony LYT-900 sensor, whereas the periscope camera uses the 200MP ISOCELL HP9 sensor that Vivo co-developed with Samsung, making it the largest telephoto sensor we have ever seen on a phone.
On the periscope camera, it uses a 1/1.4″ sensor, which is the largest ever seen in a phone, with an aperture of f/2.67 and an 85mm equivalent focal length.
It supports up to 3.7x optical zoom and up to 20x magnification in telephoto macro mode.
It also has industry-leading CIPA 4.5 telephoto stabilization.
It also sports Zeiss T* coating and APO certification for clarity and minimal fringing.
Vivo touts that its own BlueImage algorithm is on the X100 Ultra, addressing common issues with photography, such as backlighting and low-light detail preservation.
It’s also powered by the Vivo V3+ imaging chip for 4K portrait video recording.
The X100 Ultra packs a 50MP main camera with a 1/0.98-inch LYT-900 sensor, f/1.75 aperture, gimbal stabilization, and support for 4K 120fps video recording with Dolby Vision.
It is also home to a 14mm equivalent ultrawide camera with a 1/2″ 50MP LYT-600 sensor.
It sports a 6.78-inch curved E7 LTPO AMOLED 2K display, offering a resolution of 1,440 x 3,200 pixels and a refresh rate of 1-120Hz. that peaks at 3,000 nits of brightness.
The device also features an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner along with a 50MP front-facing camera.
It weighs 229 grams, is 9.23mm thick, and has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, up to 16GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage inside.
Running on OriginOS 4 based on Android 14, the device is powered by a 5,500mAh battery with support for fast wired 80W and wireless charging 30W.
It also features support for 5.5G and two-way satellite connectivity in China, along with the standard connectivity options like 4G, 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and is IP69 & IP68 rated.
As mentioned before, Vivo also released two new models, the Vivo X100s and the Vivo X100s Pro, to join the X100 Ultra in its lineup.
The device is the first phone to boast of a MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ SoC.
The Vivo X100s and X100s Pro have a 6.78-inch, 8T LTPO OLED display with 1,260 x 2,800 pixels resolution and 10-bit colors, and it covers 100% DCI-P3.
These screens have a brightness of 3,000 nits and utilize 2,160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.
Plus, the company has incorporated pixel compensation technology that extends the life of the screens by over two times.
While the X100s features a flat display, the X100s Pro retains the curved display of its predecessor.
Both models are slightly thicker and heavier, with a depth of 8.91mm and a weight of 224g.
This increased size allows the X100s Pro to house a larger 5,400mAh battery.
Both devices have 100W wired and 50W wireless charging options available.
The X100s, featuring more battery inside, still somehow manages to be 7.8mm thin (compared to the 8.5mm original X100) or the X100s Pro.
It also weighs the same, 203g, as the X100s Pro.
The Vivo X100s Pro is powered by the Vivo V3 imaging chip, featuring a large 1/0.98-inch main sensor, IMX989, with an f/1.75 lens and OIS.
It is accompanied by a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP periscope camera with a floating lens OIS design.
On the other hand, the X100s features a smaller 50MP main module with an f/1.57 lens and a 50MP ultra-wide camera.
Its tele camera uses a periscope design and packs a 50MP sensor.
They each have 32MP selfie cameras with f/2.0 lenses.
Both models come with an IP69 rating, in addition to the IP68 rating for submersion into water.
The Vivo X100 Ultra boasts a 1-inch type Sony LYT-900 main camera sensor, a 200MP ISOCELL HP9 periscope camera, and a 6.78-inch E7 LTPO AMOLED 2K display, setting new standards for smartphone photography and display technology.
The Vivo X100 Ultra will be available for sale starting May 28, exclusively in China, alongside its companion models, the X100s and X100s Pro, which will be available from May 17.
Both the Vivo X100s and X100s Pro are equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ SoCs, but the X100s Pro features a curved display and a larger battery at 5,400mAh compared to the X100s’s flat display and 5,100mAh battery.
The Vivo X100 Ultra starts at 6,499 CNY for the base model, with the X100s and X100s Pro priced starting from 3,999 CNY and 4,999 CNY respectively, reflecting their premium features and capabilities.
The new Vivo models introduce significant upgrades such as more powerful cameras, advanced MediaTek chipsets, improved display technology with higher brightness levels, and larger battery capacities with faster charging solutions.
