Vivo is prepping to launch the X100 Ultra smartphone, a top-tier device focused on delivering a high-end camera setup.
The standard and X100 Pro models already boasted impressive cameras, so expectations are high for the Ultra variant. The Vivo X100 Ultra has recently received certifications, hinting at an imminent release.
Now, there’s news about the phone’s potential pricing.
According to the post on Weibo, there will be four models of Vivo X100 Ultra available for purchase.
The base variant will come with 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage at a price point of 6499 CNY which roughly converts to around Rs 70,000.
Apart from that, there is also said to be a Satellite Version with massive 16GB RAM and 1TB internal storage priced at 7999 CNY(approximately Rs 90,000).
Interestingly, this pricing post caught the attention of Vivo’s Product Manager Han Boxiao.
Responding to a comment comparing the X100 Ultra’s cost to the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, Han stated that the X100 Ultra “can’t be cheap.”
This makes sense, as the Ultra branding suggests top-tier specs. While previous X100 models used the Dimensity 9300 chip, the X100 Ultra is expected to pack the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
Additionally, leaks point to a 200MP periscope telephoto lens alongside three other capable sensors.
The Ultra will likely deliver a premium display and battery experience too. All these high-end components could result in a hefty price tag. The Vivo X100 Ultra, along with X100s and X100s Pro models, are anticipated to launch in May.
