A user named Shido Tatsuhiko on X (formerly Twitter) recently shared hands-on images of the phone in green colour and there’s something pretty surprising. It seems the phone is actually thinner than its USB-C port when unfolded. Here’s what we know.

Vivo X Fold5 – What We Know So Far?

The Vivo X Fold5 is shaping up to be one of the slimmest foldables ever made at just 4.3mm thick when unfolded and 9.33mm when folded. That’s even thinner than the Oppo Find N5, which folds down to 8.9mm.

For comparison, Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold7 is rumoured to measure 4.54mm when unfolded.

But the USB-C port on the X Fold5 sticks out noticeably, which could raise a few questions about durability or the overall design.

Despite being super slim, Vivo hasn’t cut corners on battery. The X Fold5 packs a massive 6,000mAh battery, which is the biggest ever in a foldable phone. The battery supports 90W wired and 30W wireless charging. It’s also lighter than its predecessor at 209g (down from 219g), and even lighter than the Oppo Find N5, which weighs 229g.
