Vivo is reportedly gearing up to introduce its next foldable named Vivo X Fold 6 in China around June 2026. While earlier speculation hinted at a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor but now a fresh leak suggests a different direction. Here’s what we know so far.
According to the latest information, the Vivo X Fold 6 may feature a MediaTek chipset instead of Qualcomm’s flagship silicon. The leak shared by tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo also sheds light on the device’s display, camera, and battery specifications.
In terms of display, the Vivo X Fold 6 is tipped to come with a large 8.01-inch inner foldable screen and a 6.51-inch outer display. While specific details about the cover display remain unclear, the inner panel is expected to support a sharp 2K resolution and include an ultra-thin glass (UTG) layer for improved durability and flexibility.
The device is expected to be powered by the Dimensity 9500 chipset, which is currently MediaTek’s most powerful offering. It is also rumoured to pack a massive 7,000mAh battery potentially making it the largest battery ever seen on a foldable smartphone. Moreover, the phone reportedly also support wireless charging
On the camera front, the Vivo X Fold 6 is expected to feature a triple rear camera setup headlined by a 200-megapixel primary sensor. This could be accompanied by two 50-megapixel sensors likely handling ultra-wide and periscope telephoto photography.
For selfies and video calls, the device is tipped to include a 20-megapixel front-facing camera alongwith another 20-megapixel sensor embedded within the inner display.
For security, the foldable is expected to include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The leak also suggests that the device may offer improved water resistance possibly carrying an IP58 or IP59 rating similar to its predecessor.
