Vivo is gearing up to introduce the Vivo S50 and Vivo S50 Pro Mini in China this December. While the company already confirmed that the Pro Mini variant will debut with the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, the processor for the standard S50 remained unconfirmed until now. A fresh Geekbench listing has revealed that the regular Vivo S50 will also feature a Snapdragon 8-series processor. Alongside the benchmark leak, Vivo has released new teasers showcasing the phone’s design. Here’s everything we know about both Vivo S50 and S50 Pro Mini so far.

Vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao shared the first official image of a Vivo S50 series smartphone on Weibo. The device appears in a striking golden finish and includes two antenna bands on the right side, along with the power and volume buttons. According to Boxiao, the handset will use an “all-aerospace-grade aluminium frame”, crafted using a “new satin lithography process”.
Meanwhile, tipster Digital Chat Station posted another image of the S50 on Weibo, hinting at a triple rear camera system. The lenses appear to be arranged inside a squircle-shaped module positioned at the top-left corner of the back panel.
This follows earlier confirmation that the Vivo S50 series will feature a Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto sensor sized at 1/1.95 inches, offering 50 megapixels. The camera will also support a “clear and natural portrait algorithm”, typically found on Vivo’s flagship devices. Another report recently indicated that the lineup may include a 50MP main camera using Sony’s LYT700V 1/1.56-inch sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS).
The Vivo S50 reportedly carrying the model number V2582A was previously spotted on China’s 3C certification platform with support for 90W fast charging. The same model has now surfaced on Geekbench, confirming key hardware details.
As per the listing, the smartphone runs on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, paired with 16GB of RAM and Android 16. Vivo has already stated that all models in the S50 series will offer LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. The device achieved scores of 2044 in single-core and 5851 in multi-core tests.
According to earlier reports, the S50 may feature a 6.59-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The rear camera setup is expected to include the same Sony IMX882 50MP periscope telephoto lens mentioned earlier. Other specifications remain under wraps for now.
Vivo is also preparing to launch the Vivo S50 Pro Mini next month in China, which is expected to be rebranded globally as the Vivo X300 FE. The company has revealed most of its key features, giving a near-complete picture of the device.

Based on the render circulated on Weibo, the S50 Pro Mini sports a horizontal camera bar on the rear panel, accommodating three cameras and an LED flash. The system includes a large primary sensor, an ultra-wide-angle lens and a 50MP Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto camera.
On the front, the phone features a flat 6.31-inch OLED display with rounded corners, offering 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Selfies are handled by a 50MP front camera, while an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner ensures secure authentication.
Powering the device is the cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, paired with LPDDR5x RAM, UFS 4.1 storage, and a large 6,500mAh battery. The phone supports 90W wired and 40W wireless charging. Vivo also claims the device reaches around 3 million points on AnTuTu. The RAM can reach speeds of up to 9,600Mbps, and internal storage uses UFS 4.1 technology.
The smartphone will run Android 16 with OriginOS 6 out of the box. Other confirmed features include dual speakers, an x-axis linear motor, an aerospace-grade metal frame, and IP68/69 water and dust resistance.
