Vivo is getting ready to launch its S30 series in China, which includes the Vivo S30 and a smaller model called the Vivo S30 Pro Mini. Thanks to a new leak from tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS), we now have some key details about both phones.
In a new post on Weibo, DCS revealed that the Vivo S30 Pro Mini will be powered by MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9400e chipset. This chip is said to be an upgraded version of the Dimensity 9300+, which debuted in May 2024. In India, this model might launch under a different name as the Vivo X200 FE.
The leak also mentions that the S30 Pro Mini will feature a 50MP periscope telephoto camera using Sony’s IMX882 sensor, a metal middle frame and an x-axis linear motor for improved haptics. A previous report suggested the phone’s rear camera setup would include three sensors i.e. 50MP + 8MP + 50MP.
As for the regular S30, it’s also expected to include the same 50MP periscope camera and a metal middle frame. While DCS hasn’t mentioned the chipset for this model in the latest leak, he previously claimed it would use the Qualcomm SM7550 chip, which is actually the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3.
The Vivo S30 series is expected to be available in four colours, which are blue, gold, pink and black.
