To keep its users aware of how to control their account and digital information, the micro-blogging site Twitter has given them an option to add one-time sensitive content warnings to photos and videos they Tweet. The facility is available for everyone.
“The option to add one-time sensitive content warnings to photos and videos you Tweet is now available for everyone across Android, iOS, and web (sic),” tweets Twitter Safety.
To add a content warning, Twitter users can tap the flag icon when editing the photo/video after attaching it to your Tweet.
Users can select a category such as nudity, violence and sensitive, and Twitter put a content warning on the Tweet. This helps people avoid content they don’t want to see.
Additionally, Twitter has also added labels to Tweets that share links to Russian state-affiliated media websites.
According to Yoel Roth, Head of Site Integrity at Twitter, labels will also be rolled out to other state-affiliated media outlets in the coming weeks.
