Truke Buds Infinity OWS – Unboxing
Truke Buds Infinity OWS – Design, Build Quality and Comfort
Truke Buds Infinity OWS come in a compact and pocketable charging case, making it easy to carry around wherever you go. We had the Royal Blue colour variant for this review and it looks quite good. The case and buds come in a combination of glossy and matte finishes.
However, the first thing to notice about the Buds Infinity OWS is how different they feel compared to the usual in-ear earbuds. The open-ear design of the buds means they don’t actually sit inside your ears. These buds just rest gently on the outer part without blocking the ear canal.
In all honesty, it took us some time to get used to this design since we have been using in-ear buds all this while. Once we spent some time with the buds, we definitely found it to be a refreshing change. If you’re someone who doesn’t like the feeling of something stuffed inside your ears all day, this could be just the right device for you.
This open design also means better airflow, so your ears don’t feel sweaty or clogged up after long hours of use. Another aspect as it that it keeps you fully aware of your surroundings. This also means there is no ANC feature.
The fit itself is surprisingly secure. The earhooks are soft and skin-friendly, and gently wrap around ears without pressing too hard. We wore them for hours at a stretch and didn’t experience any pain or irritation. No tugging and no itching, which is a big plus if you often use earbuds for workouts, meetings or during any outdoor activity.
As for the build quality, the buds feel decently solid in hand. They come with IPX5 water resistance, so they can handle a bit of sweat or light rain without any issues.
Truke Buds Infinity OWS – Audio Quality
We felt the audio quality of Truke Buds Infinity OWS was surprisingly good. Because of the design, we didn’t expect the Truke Buds Infinity OWS to pack such a punch.
These come with 16mm Titanium drivers and the sound they deliver is full, rich, and has that deep bass. The bass hits nicely in all types of tracks without overpowering the vocals. The 24-bit Spatial Audio gives everything a wider soundstage, making it feel like the music is around you. We actually liked the aspect where the sound was not just blasting straight into your ears.
We found the buds are perfect for all types of audio. The Podcasts sound crisp, instruments come through clean and vocals stay clear even in busy tracks. We didn’t feel any heaviness or excessive sharpness in the audio, which is often the case with earbuds these days. Buds Infinity OWS felt well-balanced and easy to listen to, especially for long sessions.
Calls are another area where the Truke Buds do well. Thanks to the Quad Mic setup with PureVoice ENC (Environmental Noise Cancellation), voice stays clear even if you’re taking calls from a noisy place like a roadside café or a busy market. During our testing, people on the other end had no trouble hearing and background noises were also not too noticeable.
Truke Buds Infinity OWS – Features
Truke Buds Infinity OWS come with some useful features. There is dual device pairing, which means you can connect the buds to two devices at the same time. We tried connecting to our phone and laptop at the same time, and didn’t face any connectivity issues.
There’s also voice assistant support for both Google Assistant and Siri. A quick tap and you can ask about the weather, set reminders, or send a quick text without even touching your phone.
There is Bluetooth v5.4 support. Pairing is quick and there were no drops during regular use. The buds support both SBC and AAC audio formats. We received decent audio quality across most devices, whether on Android or iPhone.
Truke Buds Infinity OWS – Battery Life
About the battery life, Truke claims you get up to 70 hours of total playtime when you include the charging case. We used Buds Infinity as our primary audio accessory and found the real-life results of the battery life quite close to that 70 hours claim.
Even with regular use such as music, calls and a bit of video streaming, these easily lasted through a few days before we even thought about plugging it in. There was no constant worry about charging them.
And when you do have to charge, these also have fast charging support. Just 10 minutes of charging gives around 10 hours of playback. This means a quick top-up and you’re good for most of the day.
We tracked the full charging time and both the buds as well as the case take about 1.5 to 2 hours to charge completely. This seems pretty standard for a device in the price segment.
Verdict – Should You Buy Truke Buds Infinity OWS?
Truke Buds Infinity OWS are quite different from the regular buds we see everywhere in the market. You get a comfy open-ear design, surprisingly good audio with deep bass, clear calls and a nearly 70-hour battery backup. There is also the dual device pairing feature, voice assistant support and fast charging.
Moreover, these are competitively priced at just Rs 1,499. So, if you’re looking for budget-friendly earbuds that don’t sit inside your ears and still deliver good audio, the Truke Buds Infinity OWS is a great pick.
