We previously reported that Threads started testing Custom Feeds to give users more control over the content they get to see on their feed. Now we have learned that Meta has officially rolled out this feature worldwide.

Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri confirmed in a post that the Custom Feeds option is now accessible to everyone globally.

Threads users after this update will be able to change their experience to focus on the topics they care about.

The feature works similarly to desktop columns based on search results but is optimised for mobile. To view your Custom Feeds, users need to simply pull down on the Threads homepage.

Some users on Threads shared screenshots of the new feature while Mosseri responded to the screenshot by saying “Cool”.

The process to create your Custom Feed is also simple. Just search for a topic in the app, tap the three-dot menu and choose to create a new feed based on the search or add the keyword to an existing feed

Mosseri also explained how users can use the new feature in a post.

With the latest update, Threads also makes it easier to filter search results. You can now choose to see results based on suggested posts, the most recent posts, or user profiles.

In another recent update, Meta has announced plans to introduce ads on the platform starting next year. The app has continued to grow since its launch and now boasts over 200 million monthly active users.
