Tecno’s much-awaited Phantom X set to debut in the coming week: Expected specifications and features

Tecno is finally coming up with its much-awaited flagship Phantom X smartphone in India. It’s going to be the company’s first upper mid segment offering to sport a flexible curved AMOLED display. It’s ready to disrupt the segment with its massive RAM and striking design coupled with an impressive camera and super-fast charging system.

The futuristic design of Phantom X has been awarded the prestigious iF DESIGN AWARD 2022 and is all set to get launched in India in the coming week.

The smartphone was earlier unveiled in African markets in June last year. It comes in Starry Night Blue and Summer Sunset colour options.

Expected specifications

The global variant of Tecno Phantom X features 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. Chances are that it could come with the same configuration in India too. Possibly, it’ll also come in 8GB+128GB or lower variants in the country, in order to keep the price in check

The smartphone features a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with curved edges, pill-shaped punch-hole cutout, 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G95 12nm processor coupled with a 900MHz Mali-G76 3EEMC4 GPU. It runs on Android 11 based HiOS custom skin out of the box.

In terms of connectivity, it offers support for 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C. There is an in-screen fingerprint sensor for security and a 4,700mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.

The handset offers a triple camera setup on the back – a 50MP primary sensor with f/1.85 aperture and quad LED flash, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 13MP 50mm portrait camera. Up front, there is a 48MP primary snapper and an 8MP ultra-wide lens for selfies and video chats.
