In an exciting development at the MWC 2024, TECNO has introduced its groundbreaking PolarAce Imaging System, set to redefine mobile photography.
Making its debut in the Tecno CAMON 30 Premier 5G, this advanced imaging system is powered by the Sony Imaging Chip CXD5622GG.
Commenting on the launch, Jack Guo, General Manager of TECNO, said: Our commitment and goal have always been to provide TECNO users worldwide with the finest mobile imaging experience, catering to diverse imaging needs. In the past, we revolutionized smartphone imaging with innovations like the advanced RGBW Ultra-Sensitive Sensor and the world’s premier retractable portrait lens.
Now, TECNO PolarAce, our inaugural imaging system featuring an independent imaging chip, signifies the onset of an unprecedented era in smartphone video imaging, driven by our collaboration with Sony.
“Our competitors have focused on one or two skin tones. But we will accurately represent every skin tone in the world,” Olivier Mas, Global Launch Officer, TECNO. said during the launch.
The PolarAce Imaging System is at the heart of TECNO’s latest innovation, integrating the company’s Universal Tone technology with cutting-edge AI imaging advancements.
This integration ensures exceptional image quality and represents a leap forward in mobile photography, offering capabilities such as 4K 30fps full-scene AI-NR HDR video, a first in the mobile industry.
The PolarAce Imaging System boasts several key features that set it apart:
The Tecno CAMON 30 Premier is scheduled for release in the second quarter of 2024 alongside three additional variants.
The CAMON 30 Premier 5G not only showcases the PolarAce Imaging System but also features a design inspired by traditional rangefinder cameras.
It includes a zoom ring design lens frame and a metal mid-frame for enhanced cooling, alongside an “Action Dot” breathing light that adds a touch of elegance and functionality.
The device boasts a 6.77-inch OLED LTPO panel display, offering a resolution of 1,264 x 2,780px and a peak brightness of 1,400 nits.
It also features a 50MP front camera with autofocus, a 70mm golden portrait focal length periscope lens for remarkable micro shots and up to 60x hybrid zoom.
Powered by the Dimensity 8200 Ultra chipset and running Android 14, the CAMON 30 Premier 5G is equipped with up to 12GB of RAM (plus up to 12GB virtual RAM) and up to 512GB of storage.
Its 5,000mAh battery supports 70W fast charging, and the device includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth connectivity, an IR blaster, FM radio receiver, and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, but no 3.5mm headphone jack.
