Tecno seems to be on a launching spree with a couple of phones in the recent past. This time it’s going to be special from the Transsion’s premium smartphone brand as it’s coming up with its 5G phone in India. The much-awaited Tecno Pova 5G is likely to be launched next week. The phone is already available in the Nigeria market where the company has a strong foothold.
If the reports are to be believed, the Tecno Pova 5G smartphone will feature a large 6.9-inch IPS LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate, Dimesnity 900 5G chipset and a massive 6,000mAh battery with 18W charging. The phone will come with Tecno’s custom HiOS 8 based on Android 11.
The back panel is said to feature a dual-textured pattern and houses a 50MP main camera which is joined by a 2MP macro cam and a depth sensor. Up front, there’s a 16MP selfie camera with dual LED flash housed in the punch hole cutout on the display. The smartphone also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, headphone jack and USB-C port, as per reports.
If we take into account its Nigerian variant, Tecno Pova 5G could come in a single Aether Black colour. It’ll likely have 8GB RAM and 128GB storage which is further expandable via microSD.
As per a report by Gizmochina, the smartphone costs $289, which translates into roughly Rs 21,600 in India.
