Tecno has officially launched the Camon 40 series, introducing four new models, which include the Camon 40, Camon 40 Pro, Camon 40 Pro 5G and the high-end Camon 40 Premier 5G. Here’s what we know about the series so far.
Tecno Camon 40, 40 Pro and 40 Pro 5G
The Camon 40 and Camon 40 Pro are the more affordable 4G options, both powered by the MediaTek Helio G100 chipset. They feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution.

A 5,200mAh battery with 45W fast charging keeps them running. The main difference between the two is in the selfie camera, while the Camon 40 Pro gets a 50MP front camera, the standard Camon 40 comes with a 32MP sensor.
On the back, both phones share a 50MP main sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide lens and a depth sensor.
The Camon 40 Pro 5G brings 5G connectivity to the lineup by swapping in a Dimensity 7300 SoC, but everything else, including the design, battery, and display, remains the same.
Tecno Camon 40 Premier 5G

At the top of the lineup, the Camon 40 Premier 5G stands out with a circular camera module instead of the vertical design seen on the other models. The display is also upgraded to a 6.67-inch panel with a 1260p resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, the Premier model is powered by the Dimensity 8350 chip and packs a slightly smaller 5,100mAh battery, but with 70W fast charging.
The camera setup houses three 50MP cameras, covering wide, ultrawide and 3x optical zoom shots, with OIS on the main sensor. The front camera also features a 50MP sensor with autofocus.
Tecno has yet to reveal pricing and availability, but more details should emerge as the phones start rolling out in different regions.
