Vivo Y12G launched in India

Vivo’s Y12 series has a total of five phones, and the company added the sixth one – Vivo Y12G. The smartphone is rebranded Y12s variant that had gone official in Vietnem in May this year. The Indian variant has been launched with the same specifications. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC, the new device is available with dual rear cameras as well as a waterdrop-style display notch. The price of Vivo Y12G has been set at Rs 10,990 for the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant and is currently available for purchase in Glacier Blue and Phantom Black colours via the Vivo India website.

Realme GT 5G, GT Master Edition to launch in India

Realme has finally announced that the Realme GT 5G, along with the Realme GT Master Edition, will be launched on August 18 in India. Company CEO Madhav Sheth has shared this big update and provided a glimpse at the phone’s specifications and pricing strategy. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, the Realme GT 5G debuted in China early this year and then launched in the other market overseas in June. The device is finally making its way to India this month.

Apple to scan iPhones for child sex abuse photos

Apple said it will launch new software that will analyze images stored in the iCloud Photos account of a user for sexually explicit children’s images and then report instances to relevant authorities. However, there are privacy concerns that the technology could be expanded to scan phones prohibited content or even political speech. Additionally, the tech giant plans to scan users’ encrypted messages for sexually explicit content as a child safety measure.

PS5 is available online from Walmart

It’s been nearly nine months since the PS5 launched, but finding the console at major retailers is still a challenge. Walmart has now opened online orders for the Play Station 5, which includes the $500 disc-based version of the console as well as the $400 digital disc-less version. It is usually the first who gets the worm, but not always. If you miss out on the first wave at Walmart, the retailer usually releases more in 10-minute intervals, with the next being at 3:10PM, 3:20PM, and so forth until it runs out of stock.

Xiaomi rolls out MIUI 12.5 update with Android 11 for Redmi Note 9

For older Mi and Redmi smartphones, Xiaomi’s MIUI 12.5 update is big deal. The company has now started seeding the update to Redmi Note 9, which was launched last year. It is currently getting the MIUI 12.5 build based on Android 11, which is a step up from the Android 10 ROM it was until now. More importantly, the update is based on Android 11. Also, this new update includes updated security patches for July 2021. The Indian Redmi Note 9 users can look forward to many exciting features with this update.
