Tecno Pova 2 launched in India

Tecno Pova 2 is official now. Smartphone brand Tecno has launched a new device called Tecno Pova 2 in the Indian market. The smartphone comes with a massive 7,000mAh battery and 18Wflash charge fast charging support. Powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC paired with a Mali G52 GPU, the company has launched Pova 2 in two storage configurations and three colour options. These two variants are priced at R 10,999 and Rs 12,999 respectively. Tecno Pova 2 will go on sale starting August 5, as part of the Amazon Freedom Sale.

RedmiBook series laptop to launch in India

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is set to launch its first laptop in India today at 12pm. The Chinese company will unveil the product via a virtual event that will be livestreamed on Facebook and YouTube. Under the series, Redmi is expected to launch two laptops. The laptop is teased to have a 15.6-inch screen. It is confirmed to be powered by an 11th Gen Intel Core processor. The company has revealed that the laptop will come in Charcoal Grey colour and the pricing, availability will be shared at the event.

Motorola to launch Edge S Pro

Motorola will be holding a launching event in China on August 5, and it will see the Moto Edge S Pro get unveiled. The company, last week, has introduced the Edge 20, Edge 20 Pro, and Edge 20 Lite phones in the global markets. Motorola Edge S Pro will be launched as the successor to the Motorola Edge S from January 2021. Some of the features of this latest device have been teased by the company that shows it will have a slim and light form factor, and will feature the company’s ‘Ready for’ technology, and more.

Realme Pad design revealed

The first tablet of Realme is expected to be launched in the upcoming months as the brand enters another product category. While the company hasn’t revealed any official details, a new leak gives us idea of what it could look like. A noted tipster OnLeaks has revealed some expected design aspects. He has shared that the Realme Pad design renders in collboration with 91Mobiles. As per the latest leak, the Realme Pad will feature a large 10.4-inches display. In addition to this, the design renders reveal a basic slab kind of a design and one can see a protruding rear camera alongside flat sides. From the looks of it, the Realme Pad design is very similar to the iPad Pro 2020.

Google to end support for services like YouTube, Gmail soon on old Android devices

Google will not support sign-ins on Android devices that are running Android 2.3.7 and earlier. The decision will come into effect from September 27, 2021 and is being done to improve the overall security. The tech giant has talked about how signing into your Gmail account after the date would provide alerts regarding username and password errors. The company recommends users to update to at least Android 3.0 Honeycomb to continue using Google apps even after September. Also, Google has stated that users simply will still log into their Gmail and Google account through the online browser if they can’t update to the newest Android OS.
