OnePlus Nord 2 5G launched in India

The highly awaited OnePlus Nord 2 has been launched in India. Priced at Rs 27,999, the smartphone claims to be an affordable handset with good performance and battery life. The Nord 2 is the first OnePlus device to come with a MediaTek chipset with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage. In addition, the device is available in three color options, that is, Blue Haze, Gray Sierra and Green Wood. The Green Wood color is an India exclusive variant.

Samsung’s next cell phones will have scratch and reflection resistant cameras, thanks to the new lens cover from Corning. The new Gorilla Glass DX and DX Plus are thin layers created by fusing anti-reflective glass and coatings, sit atop camera lenses to make them more durable and improve image quality. Samsung will be the first company to use the latest glass technology of Corning in future mobile phones.

Major Websites down after Akamai outage

Multiple websites, including American Express, Delta Air Lines and Paytm, were down in an outage sparked by a glitch in Akamai Technologies’ systems. This is the third such incident in a span of two months. Services resumed after rolling back the update, Akamai confirmed that the widespread outages were a result of a failure in one of their services.

Airtel announces new postpaid plans

Airtel has announced new postpaid plans for both retail and corporate customers. The company has announced new corporate plans start at Rs 299 and go up to Rs 1599 while the new retail plans start at Rs 399 and up to Rs 1599. According to the company, the new plans aim to meet the demand for more data in the post pandemic world.

Lava Z2s launched in India

Indian phone brand Lava has brought out a new handset Z2s in its home country. The smartphone comes with a large display, an octa-core processor and a high capacity battery. It is powered by MediaTek Helio octa-core processor and has 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. Lava Z2s is priced at Rs 7,099 in India and can be purchased from Amazon, Flipkart as well as Lava e-store.
