Vivo X90, Vivo X90 Pro with MediaTek 9200, 1-inch camera sensor, 120W charging launched Highlights * The Vivo X90 and Vivo X90 Pro have been launched globally. * Vivo X90 Pro Plus still remains a China-exclusive device for the time being. * The Vivo X90 pricing starts at MYR 3,699 (approx. Rs 70,000). Vivo X90 and Vivo X90 Pro have launched globally after being unveiled in China back in November 2022. While the lineup also consisted of the Vivo X90 Pro Plus, this particular handset is currently exclusive to China, for now. The X90 Pro is far from the first smartphone to ship with a 1-inch-type sensor, nor is it the first to use this specific component from Sony. But while we saw Xiaomi announce both Xiaomi 12S Ultra and Xiaomi 13 Pro using Sony’s IMX989 sensor last year, neither of them have been released internationally (yet). That makes today’s Vivo launch more significant for international buyers. Coming back to the Vivo X90 and X90 Pro, these smartphones pack in high-grade cameras, flagship chipsets, and ultra-fast charging capabilities. Furthermore, both these devices will gradually launch in several European and Asian markets including India. Vivo did not reveal any details about the pricing of these phones. We only know the vivo X90 will be available in Black and Blue in Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, Thailand, and Malaysia. The vivo X90 Pro will be sold only in Legendary Black, which has a leather-like finish on the back. The available markets are: Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, Thailand, Malaysia in Asia, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Poland, Czechia, Austria, Romania, Croatia, Slovenia, Greece, and Serbia. Key specifications of the Vivo X90 and X90 Pro include a large AMOLED display, the MediaTek Dimensity 9200, 50MP primary cameras tuned in collaboration with Zeiss, a dedicated V2 chip for enhanced photography and gaming, and up to 120W fast charging support. Vivo X90, Vivo X90 Pro prices, availability The Vivo X90 and Vivo X90 Pro have been officially launched in Malaysia today in a single storage configuration of 12GB RAM and 256GB ROM each. The vanilla X90 is priced at MYR 3,699 (approx. Rs 70,000) while the X90 Pro costs MYR 4,999 (approx. 95,000). As for the colour options, the standard X90 comes in Breeze Blue and Asteroid Black, and the X90 Pro in a single Legend Black vegan leather option.3 Early buyers of the devices can grab a free Vivo TWS Air along with a Protection Plus plan that includes 1 year of extended phone warranty, 1 year of screen crack protection, and 1 year of battery warranty. Indian pricing of the Vivo X90 and X90 Pro will be revealed at a later date when the handsets are officially unveiled in the country. Sensor Position On-screen Fingerprint Sensor Type Optical Other Sensors Light sensor, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Compass, Gyroscope FAQ's Q1. Vivo is a company from which country? Ans)Dongguan, China Q2. What is the price of Vivo X90 and X90 Pro? Ans)The cost will be between Rs 69,221 and Rs 99,162. Q3) How is the Vivo X90 and X90 Pro camera? Ans)The Vivo X90 will have three cameras placed up at the back. A 12MP ultrawide lens and a 12MP portrait sensor will be used in addition to the 50MP core sensor. The Vivo X90 Pro, on the other hand, has a 50 MP main camera, a 50MP telephoto lens and a 12MP ultrawide sensor. Q4) How is the Vivo X90 Pro battery? The X90 Pro has a 4,780-mAh battery, which can be replenished with a bundled 120-watt charger or a 50-watt wireless charger (sold separetly). The phone offers two charging modes, fast charging and balanced mode. Vivo says the X90 Pro can be charged to 50% in 8 minutes and 10 seconds using the former mode. Balanced mode is apparently ideal for everyday charging, and takes 29 minutes to revitalize the battery to a full charge, according to Vivo. Q5) What is the X90 Pro's odd design choice on the back? For a phone in 2023, the X90 Pro's design appears relatively ordinary from the front. The rectangular display has curved edges and features a a punch-hole cutout in the center housing the selfie camera. But flip it over, and you'll see a narrow bar running through the width of the chassis (below the camera module). No, it's not a camera bar as seen on Google's Pixel 7 lineup, it's simply a flat bar emblazoned with the words "Xtreme Imagination" running across the rear of the phone. Frankly, it makes for a bizarre choice that undermines the overall design of an otherwise sleek phone. Above this perplexing bar, is the circular camera bump housing three lenses. There's also bold vivo branding at the bottom. Q6) What is the X90 Pro's Zeiss lenses? Ans)Vivo says this phone gives you a piece of pro photography equipment in your pocket. That's why it makes sense that the company has flexed its camera partnership with Zeiss, a 176-year old company considered a pioneer in optical photography. There are three cameras on the X90 Pro: a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel portrait camera and a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens. Q7) What are the New Vivo X90 Pro features? Ans)Vivo changed an array of features from the phone's predecessor, the V80 Pro. Apart from swapping out the chip from Qualcomm to a Mediatek one, it ditched the ultrasonic fingerprint reader, telephoto camera and reduced display resolution. The 3D Sonic Max feature was one that set the X80 Pro apart from a number of Android flagships, so it's disappointing to see it go.
