At the Snapdragon Summit recently Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon Cockpit Elite and Snapdragon Ride Elite platforms as its entry into the auto business. Certain reports now confirm that the company is in talks with India’s biggest carmaker Maruti for a partnership. Qualcomm & Maruti Partnership According to reliable tech source Yogesh Brar in association with Smartprix, Qualcomm will work with Maruti Suzuki to incorporate Snapdragon automotive chips into Maruti’s upcoming vehicles. Indian consumers are increasingly interested in smart cars featuring advanced infotainment, parking assistance and driver-assistance systems (ADAS). These high-performance processors enable the system to handle up to 40 multimodal sensors such as radars, LiDARs, cameras and fingerprint sensors, enhancing safety features and autonomous driving capabilities in vehicles. The Snapdragon Digital Chassis offers flexible features that can be scaled from safety-focused Level 3 autonomous driving to multi-display infotainment for both ICE and electric vehicles.
