While the standard iPhone 15 snatches the top spot, the iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPhone 15 Pro followed closely behind for second and third position on the rankings respectively. The third quarter ranking shows a complete dominance of Apple taking over the top 3 spots in the global top-10 best-selling smartphones list. For the first time in a third quarter, Pro models accounted for half of all iPhone sales. On the other hand, we have Samsung with the most number of phones in the top 10 list. Samsung's strong presence is maintained by four Samsung A series smartphones making it in the top 10. Apart from this, the Galaxy S24 also continued to be in the top 10 for the third consecutive quarter. It’s also the first time since 2018 that a Galaxy S model has been in the top 10. The top 10 smartphone models accounted for 19% of global sales in Q3 2024. When it comes to market share, Samsung managed to get the maximum five spots in the best-selling smartphones list and Apple remained closely behind with four iPhones on the list. This left only one spot for Xiaomi, which was grabbed by Redmi 13C. The rankings are very similar to what we have seen last year.
