The chip is expected to have a base clock speed of 4.4GHz, slightly faster than the 4.32GHz seen on its predecessor. It will also feature Qualcomm’s second-generation custom CPU architecture and the GPU’s cache size may grow from 12MB to 16MB. The chip will be built on TSMC’s third-generation 3nm process, which should bring a 4% performance boost and 9% better power efficiency without changing clock speeds. There’s also talk of the chip supporting the new SME instruction set (part of the Arm64 architecture), which could improve both multimedia and graphics performance.
