A video preview shared by Andriod authority shows Google is adding a ‘Monogram’ feature, which joins existing choices to set contact photos using device images, Google Photos or illustrations. With the new Monogram option, users can create a custom image using up to two letters (like initials), and tweak the colour, background and font by tapping the contact image circle. An ‘Inspire me’ button lets you randomise the font and background for a unique look. Users can also select the new ‘Emoji’ option to set any emoji as a contact image. This choice allows you to adjust the emoji’s colours between light and dark modes, with an outline that complements the background.
