Here’s what we know so far. Moto G96 Mentioned After launching the Edge 60 and Razr 60 series, Motorola is now shifting its attention back to its budget-friendly Moto G series. The Moto G86 was already generating buzz, with its leaked design pointing to a June 2025 launch. But now, tipster @evleaks on X (formerly Twitter) has revealed that the Moto G96 is also in development, and it’s expected to sit above the G86 in the lineup. There's speculation that it could pack something like the MediaTek Dimensity 7300, similar to the Edge 60. The Moto G86 is rumoured to feature a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen and a 50MP main camera, so the G96 may offer even better hardware. Unfortunately, don’t expect it to launch in the U.S. since Motorola hasn’t released a Moto G series device there since the G100 back in 2021. Storage options include 128GB and 256GB, both expandable via microSD up to 2TB. The camera setup includes a 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 main sensor with PDAF and Quad Pixel tech, an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 32MP front camera. The phone is backed by a 5200mAh battery and supports 33W TurboPower fast charging. Audio features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and two microphones. Connectivity options cover a wide range of 5G and 4G bands, plus Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC. It will support single, dual and hybrid dual SIM setups.
