The first Jio Bharat phone manufactured by Karbonn has been revealed, and it will be available to purchase as early as next week on Amazon India. The sales will begin at noon IST on the same date . The Jio Bharat 4G phone is priced at Rs 999. The online retailer is yet to reveal if there will be any offers for buyers. There's a tiny colour screen, and a camera at the back. It has features like any other smartphone. There's only one dark grey and silver colour combination for this device. The Jio Bharat phone comes in red and blue colour options. The Karbonn Jio Bharat 4G feature phone comes with JioCinema and JioSaavn ,you can watch movies and listen to music on it. It also has the JioPay app that lets you make UPI payments through this smart feature phone. You also get the FM radio app with this phone. The company has said that it would partner with other brands as well, who will adopt the Jio Bharat platform. Jio Bharat Plans There are separate recharge plans for the Jio Bharat phone. The Jio Bharat plans start at Rs 123 for 28 days. With this recharge plan, you get unlimited voice calls, and 0.5/GB of data per day. There's also the Jio Bharat annual plan priced at Rs 1,234, and with this one too you get 0.5/GB per day and unlimited voice calls. It should help you store your favourite music, videos, photos, and more. It consists of a 0.3MP (VGA) rear camera with LED flash. Jio has packed the Jio Bharat phone with a 1,000mAh battery. Jio is gearing up to release its first fixed wireless access (FWA) device called Jio AirFiber which is testing these days . It is rumoured to be 20% more affordable than Airtel Xstream AirFiber. In addition to this, the phone comes with features like FM radio, support for UPI payment, expandable storage, and a headphone jack. For UPI, the company says the payment will happen through JioPay. In addition to the monthly plan of Rs 123, Jio Bharat Phone users can also opt for the annual plan, which will offer unlimited calls and 0.5GB of 4G data per day. Lastly, Jio also confirmed that other phone brands, starting with Karbonn will adopt the Jio Bharat platform to build Jio Bharat phones, which could be launched later this year. Jio Bharat’s main objective is to empower every Indian with the power of digital services, especially those who cannot afford a smartphone, the company added.
