iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro models are two Apple products that the tech industry started speculating about right after the last iPhone launch happened. Even though the unveiling is likely to be scheduled for September or October 2023, the rumour mill is working overtime to speculate on everything that one should expect from the upcoming Apple lineup. While a recent tip indicates Dynamic Island Notch for all iPhone 15 models, many tech bloggers in their iPhone 15 2023 Updates have claimed USB Type C ports, Haptic Control Buttons, and bigger RAM among other features to look out for. In this article, we are looking at all the rumoured iPhone 15 features in detail. So, here we go. iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max/ Ultra Features Dynamic Island Notch Rumours were already strong but we have a sort of confirmation that the next-generation iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro models will sport Apple's unique Dynamic Island notch. The most trusted leak came from notable Apple analyst, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. Gurman confirmed all four iPhone 15 models including iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will most likely feature the Dynamic Island notch. Expected to be launched in the fall of this year, all four upcoming iPhone models are also expected to continue with the current iPhone lineup’s form factor and screen size too. Apple A17 Chip Now, we are most likely getting the latest Apple A17 chip, which is actually expected to be a big upgrade. This promises to improve the process from 5 nanometers to 3 nanometers, which means between a 10 to 15 per cent of performance increase. The latest chip can also potentially help in up to a 30 per cent lower power consumption. While all this sounds great, there is again a catch. Rumours suggest that only the pro models of the iPhone will have this latest A17 chip. Apple will most probably continue to keep this trend of the Pro Models having the newer chips and then the non-pro models having older chips in the coming years. USB Type C Ports for all iPhone 15 models We all have been hearing about Apple’s complete switch to USB type-c. And it appears that the USB type-c is finally coming to iPhone 15, all models. This has been rumoured for years but now it is actually official. This is directly related to the EU law that would force all smartphone manufacturers to adopt the USB type-c port. To be implemented in 2024, this law simply means all smartphones, tablets, cameras, consoles, headphones, keyboards, and navigation systems among other devices will need to have a USB type-c port for charging. So, it is highly likely that iPhone 15 models will sport USB type C. Haptic Control Buttons This is coming from a report by Ming Chuko that the volume and the power buttons won't actually click in the upcoming iPhone 15s but instead, they will be static with haptic motors underneath. So they would work in a similar way as the MacBook Trackpad or the iPhone 7 8 SC2 3 Home Button works. This will make the iPhone more water resistant and more durable apart from getting two more additional haptic motors. Bigger RAM Trend Force has recently reported that the RAM in the upcoming iPhones would be bumped to 8 gigabytes from the current 6 gigabytes. This is one of the most positive rumoured features as of now. This will significantly improve the RAM management which at the moment is average on the iPhone compared to Android phones that have 12 gigabytes of RAM. However, the catch is that this upgrade of RAM will only happen on the Pro models. So, while all the current iPhone 14 models have the same 6 gigabytes of RAM, next year only the Pros will be getting the upgrade.
