Pathaan is one of the most awaited movies of 2023 whose OTT rights have been bagged by Amazon Prime Video, which means that it will begin streaming on that platform sometime after its release in theatres. Apparently, Amazon Prime Video has bought the rights has bought the digital streaming rights of Pathaan for Rs.100 crores, which is touted as Shahrukh Khan's comeback vehicle after nearly 5 years. The movie stars Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham. Amazon Prime Video Purchases Pathaan OTT Rights for Rs.100 Crores 2023 is just a few days away and people are highly excited about the upcoming film releases in the month of January, one of which is Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback vehicle, Pathaan that marks his return to the silver screen after a gap of 5 years with his last release Zero (2018) being a huge flop. Many people have high expectations regarding Pathaan that will be released in January 2023, although Amazon Prime Video has already bagged the OTT rights of the movie for a whopping Rs.100 crores, which is not surprising considering the star power of its main lead. The movie is directed by Siddharth Anand, which will be a spy action thriller, made at an Rs.250 crore budget, releasing in two dubbed versions viz. Tamil and Telugu, which has created a massive hype in the past few weeks due to it marking Shah Rukh Khan’s return to films in half a decade. According to sources, Pathaan will be released on OTT in late March or early April 2023 and will be produced under the Yash Raj Films (YRF) banner. It will be the fourth installment in the YRF spy universe after Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, and War. Apart from being the first ever Bollywood movie to be shot with IMAX cameras, it will also mark the first time that a YRF movie will get a Dolby Cinema release, which will be even more interesting to see as to how this movie will perform in the theatres. Vishal-Shekhar have composed the music for the film, which has received mixed reviews among the general public, along with a lot of controversy regarding some of its songs, which have been massively trolled on social media. Netflix Streams White Noise on December 30 Pathaan Controversy While there is a major hype surrounding Pathaan, the movie has also been in news for the wrong reasons regarding its song, Besharam Rang, as many citizens and central government officials were deeply offended by Deepika Padukone wearing a saffron colour bikini. Many right wing Hindu groups felt that that the saffron coloured bikini hurt Hindu sensibilities due to which many fans expressed their outrage on social media and asked for a boycott of the movie, which remains to be seen as to how successful it would be.
