Apple iPhone 15 Latest Rumors You Won't Want To Miss Apple introduces a new iPhone series every year making it one of the most important events on the Apple calendar. Despite the expansion of Apple's market share in the computer hardware and software services markets, iPhones remain the company's most important product. Recently, Apple launched the iPhone 14 series however within a few weeks, speculation surrounding the Apple iPhone 15 series is already widespread. Many people are already looking ahead to the Apple iPhone 15 before the iPhone 14 has even had a chance to make a splash in the market. While there are rumors regarding the possible changes and upgrades, these reports help in understanding the path that Apple will most likely pursue with the new iPhone. USB Type-C Might Make Its Way To iPhone 15 As Apple prepares to move to the USB-C port, the Lightning port for the iPhone will likely be phased out around 2023. Since all iPhones sold in Europe must include USB-C connectors by 2024, Apple must either update the design of all iPhones globally or develop new iPhones specifically for the European market. Improvements With Dynamic Island While the more affordable iPhone 14 models continue to have a notch as their display, Apple has launched the Dynamic Island for its premium iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max models. If you're interested in the Dynamic Island but don't want to spring for a Pro iPhone, hold out until the iPhone 15 is released. Improved Periscope Lens There have been rumours for years that Apple is developing periscope lens technology for its products, and 2023 seems like a good bet for its debut. Some Android smartphone makers already utilize periscope lenses because their optical zoom capabilities surpass those of a regular telephoto lens. For example, the current iPhone 14 Pro versions only provide a 3x optical zoom, but Apple may increase this to 5x or even 10x with a periscope lens. Solid State Volume and Power Buttons Recently, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo stated that Apple would include solid-state volume and power buttons in the iPhone 15 rather than physical buttons, similar to the trackpad found on Macs and the Home button seen on the iPhone 7. In addition, the haptic feedback would replace the mechanical button push on the solid button, simulating the sensation of pressing a button on the solid button. Nanometre A17 Bionic Chip The iPhone 15 Pro versions will likely be the first to have a processor manufactured by Apple supplier TSMC at a 3-nanometer chip. If Apple does decide to use a processor with a 3nm manufacturing process for the A17, it will be a significant advance over the A16. The A16 chip, which is manufactured using a 4nm technology, was exclusive to the Pro models, and it is anticipated that the A17 chip will also be entire into the iPhone 15 Pro. Apple's In-House 5G modem After acquiring the modem division of Intel in 2019 for $1 billion, Apple has been diligently toiling away at the development of its very own in-house cellular modem for several years now. In November, Mark Gurman reported that Qualcomm would likely deliver "the majority of new modems" for the iPhone 15, which is slated to be released in September. New Name? According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple may release a new high-end "Ultra" model in place of the "Pro Max" version of the iPhone 15, which the company now sells. That would be consistent with the Apple Watch Ultra, and it would provide an excuse for Apple to restrict some features, like the periscope lens technology, to the most expensive model of the iPhone. Conclusion The iPhone 15 series has the potential to be a complete game-changer for Apple as well as the whole smartphone industry. Also, there's a lot to play for now that cameras, OSs, and CPUs have all seen several updates. Some customers may switch from Android to iOS because of improvements, such as the USB-C port, periscope lens technology, dynamic island features and other listed rumours.
