The official announcement came around eight days after the first phone using the chipset saw the light of the day. Yes, we are talking about the Tecno Camon 30S Pro, which was just about a week ago. According to the MediaTek product brief on their official website, the Helio G100 is pretty much the same as the Helio G99 in terms of CPU and GPU specs. The main difference is the G100's ability to support 200 MP main cameras. Specifying the chip’s power efficiency, MediaTek mentions in the product brief, “The MediaTek Helio G100 is manufactured using TSMC's advanced 6nm (N6) chip production process, which significantly enhances power efficiency. It uses LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, with a maximum display resolution of 2,520 x 1,080 pixels. Smartphone manufacturers can tailor the MediaTek Helio G100 platform to suit specific devices or market needs.
