Samsung has officially confirmed that its highly anticipated One UI 7 update will roll out in April, bringing smarter AI features and a more seamless mobile experience to eligible Galaxy devices.
In a press statement about the One UI 7 beta program, Samsung announced that the update will be available “within April.” The Korean brand also revealed that the update is designed to offer the “most natural and seamless mobile AI experience.”
The beta program will kick off on March 6 for Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 users in India, Korea, the UK and the US. Later this month, more devices including the Galaxy S23 series, Tab S10 series and A55 will also receive the beta.
Samsung reassured users that the official update will follow in April.
One UI 7 based on Android 15 introduces a range of AI-powered enhancements. “Integrating leading AI agents with multimodal capabilities into every touchpoint of the interface, One UI 7 marks a significant leap forward in creating a new kind of mobile experience where every interaction feels more intuitive than ever before,” Samsung added in its statement.
Some of the key new features include the Now Bar, an improved camera interface, a vertical app drawer, a battery charging limit and more advanced writing tools.
Samsung is also improving calling features with call transcription support for 20 languages, allowing users to access transcribed conversations when call recording is enabled.
The announcement comes just days after Samsung introduced AI-powered upgrades for its Galaxy A series smartphones. The company unveiled Awesome Intelligence, a set of exclusive AI features designed to enhance creativity, security and overall user experience.
Emphasising the company’s mission of making AI accessible to everyone, Samsung’s President and Head of MX Business, TM Roh said, “The new Galaxy A series marks an important step in our mission of AI for all by opening Galaxy’s incredible mobile AI experiences to even more people around the world.”
