Samsung has dropped a new teaser video on YouTube and X (formerly Twitter) hinting at the arrival of the Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36. Here’s everything we know from the teaser video.

New Samsung Teaser Video

While the video doesn’t explicitly showcase these models, leaks suggest that they will feature a redesigned camera island.

One of the biggest takeaways from the teaser is the mention of 6 OS updates. This is surprising because last year’s Galaxy A35 and A55 only received 4 OS updates. If true, this marks a major improvement for the 2025 A-series lineup bringing it closer to Samsung’s premium Galaxy S and Z series, which receive 7 years of updates.

Samsung hasn’t confirmed an exact launch date yet.

The @SamsungIndia X account hasn’t shared any updates on the Galaxy A36 and A56 nor the rumoured Galaxy A26. However, support pages for the Galaxy A26 have already gone live and the device has received India’s BIS certification, suggesting a launch is imminent.

Meanwhile, Samsung is also gearing up to launch the Galaxy M16 and M06 5G in India. However, no specific dates have been announced yet.

Samsung Galaxy A56 & A36 – What to Expect?

Leaks suggest that both phones will come with the following specs –

  • 6-inch OLED displays
  • 5,000mAh batteries with 45W fast charging
  • Exynos 1580 for the Galaxy A56
  • Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 for the Galaxy A36

As for pricing, Galaxy A56 is expected to be priced at Rs 39,999 in India keeping things in line with its predecessor.

With over 89 million A-series users, Samsung seems to be making big moves with its 2025 lineup. In any case, we can expect more details to come out as we get closer to the official launch.
