Samsung has officially introduced its first-ever twice-folding smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold. The device features a dual-hinge design, a massive 10-inch inner display and flagship-grade hardware.

Samsung has not yet revealed the pricing for the Galaxy Z TriFold. However, the company confirmed that sales in South Korea will begin on December 12.
After its domestic launch, the handset will make its way to China, Taiwan, Singapore, the UAE, and the US. Samsung also stated that the Galaxy Z TriFold will be showcased in select offline retail stores in these regions. The company will allow customers to experience the device firsthand.
It will be offered in a single Crafted Black colour option.
Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold – Key Features
The Galaxy Z TriFold runs on Android 16-based OneUI 8 and supports dual SIM connectivity. Its standout feature is the expansive 10-inch QXGA+ (2,160 × 1,584 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED 2X inner display, offering 269ppi, up to 1,600 nits peak brightness, a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and full DCI-P3 colour coverage.
On the outside, the phone houses a 6.5-inch Full-HD+ (1,080 × 2,520 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED 2X cover screen with a 21:9 aspect ratio, 422ppi, 2,600 nits peak brightness, 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and 100 per cent DCI-P3 colour gamut. The cover display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, while the rear panel uses Ceramic-Glass Fibre Reinforced Polymer. The device carries an IP48 rating for resistance to dust and water.
Samsung has used a titanium hinge system paired with advanced armour aluminium. The phone features two differently sized hinges and a dual-rail structure for better durability and smoother folding. The company says the hinge mechanism ensures the screens “meet securely with a minimal gap” while keeping the overall design slim.
When folded, the Galaxy Z TriFold measures 159.2 × 75.0 × 12.9mm and when fully unfolded, it expands to 159.2 × 214.1 × 3.9mm. The phone weighs approximately 309 grams.
Powering the handset is Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset built on a 3nm process, alongside 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage.
The Galaxy Z TriFold is equipped with a triple rear camera setup including a 200-megapixel (f/1.7) primary shooter with OIS, a 12-megapixel (f/2.2) ultrawide sensor with a 102-degree field of view and a 10-megapixel (f/2.4) telephoto lens offering OIS and up to 30x digital zoom. For selfies, Samsung has included two 10-megapixel (f/2.2) selfie cameras, one on the cover screen and another on the inner display.
The device packs a 5,600mAh battery with support for 45W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and USB Type-C.
Sensors on board include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, accelerometer, gyro, barometer, geomagnetic sensor, hall sensor, proximity sensor, and ambient light sensor.
