Samsung’s Next Galaxy Unpacked Event Set for February 25, 2026

As per a report from a South Korean tech news outlet, Samsung is planning to host the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event in San Francisco on February 25, 2026. Preparations for the major launch have reportedly already begun, though the event is still several months away.

A Samsung official told the publication that “San Francisco has emerged as the centre of AI,” calling it the “perfect location” for the company’s next big announcement. This suggests that Samsung could be gearing up to unveil a fresh wave of AI-driven features across its devices. Notably, this would be Samsung’s first San Francisco-based event since 2023.

Traditionally, Samsung’s flagship Galaxy Unpacked events are held in late January or early February. However, this time, the company seems to have pushed the date back due to internal product lineup adjustments.

Earlier leaks hinted that Samsung was considering rebranding its smartphones under new names, the Galaxy S26 Pro instead of the standard Galaxy S26 and the Galaxy S26 Edge in place of the Galaxy S26+. However, following the underwhelming sales of the Galaxy S25 Edge, the company reportedly dropped those plans.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Series – Specifications (Expected)

The upcoming Galaxy S26 lineup is said to include the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. According to leaks, all three models will be powered by Samsung’s in-house Exynos 2600 processor in select regions. Built on a 2nm process, this chip is expected to deliver improved efficiency and performance. In other markets, the phones might be equipped with Qualcomm’s 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra could feature a 6.9-inch Quad HD M14 OLED display and introduce a new AI-based privacy screen feature.

It’s tipped to pack a 5,400mAh battery and a quad-camera setup, which may include a 200MP main sensor, a refreshed ultrawide camera, a 50MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, and either a 12MP 3x camera or a 50MP 3x telephoto shooter.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ are expected to sport 6.3-inch and 6.7-inch Quad HD M14 OLED panels, respectively.
