As Samsung is gearing up for the Galaxy S25 Series launch in the coming week, it is the slim model that will be released later in the year generating maximum buzz for now. Previous reports have revealed Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim to be one of the slimmest smartphones ever made by the brand.
While some leaked renders have shared an initial look of the phone, recent high-quality 5K renders shared by Smartprix in collaboration with OnLeaks give a detailed first look at this ultra-thin device.
The Galaxy S25 Slim measures an impressively thin 6.4mm, which makes it significantly slimmer than most smartphones. The device is just 8.3mm thick even with its camera module. To put that into perspective, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to be 8.2mm thick without a camera bump.
The phone will have a 6.7- to 6.8-inch flat display and dimensions of approximately 159 x 76 x 6.4mm. Comparatively, the S25 Ultra is larger at 162.8 x 77.6 x 8.2mm. This means the S25 Slim is 3.8mm shorter, 1.6mm narrower, and 1.8mm thinner than its Ultra sibling.
The recently leaked 360-degree images show that the Galaxy S25 Slim will feature a triple-camera setup on the back, a sleek metal frame and a glass back.
The bezels around the screen are ultra-thin and the power button and volume rockers are flat. At the bottom, there’s a USB-C port, a microphone and a single speaker grille.
According to leaked reports, the Galaxy S25 Slim’s triple-camera setup includes a 200MP HP5 main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 50MP telephoto lens with 3.5X optical zoom. Samsung is utilising its new ALoP (All Lenses on Prism) design, which arranges lenses in front of the prism ensuring a slim design while maintaining excellent zoom capabilities.
Under the hood, the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset paired with 12GB of RAM and running Android 15 with One UI 7. Early Geekbench scores from a pre-release unit show a single-core score of 3005 and a multi-core score of 6945, though these may improve closer to the final launch.
The Galaxy S25 Slim is set to launch in May 2025.
While it might make a brief appearance at Samsung’s Unpacked event on January 22 alongside the Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra, its release is expected to follow a few months later.
