Samsung’s Galaxy S24 Ultra is receiving a huge discount during the ongoing Amazon and Flipkart sale. The price cut is bringing the effective price below ₹80,000, which is almost ₹50,000 off its original launch price. The model remains one of the best flagship smartphones available despite being over a year old and is bolstered by Samsung’s long-term software update policy. Here’s more on the recent price cut.
Launched in India at ₹1,29,999 for the 12GB RAM/256GB storage model, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is now significantly cheaper.
On Amazon, the 256GB variant is listed at ₹80,490, while Flipkart lists it at ₹81,980. Flipkart also offers an additional ₹4,000 instant discount with the Flipkart Axis credit card, bringing the effective price under ₹80,000.
At this price, the Galaxy S24 Ultra offers nearly the same display, battery, charging, UI, and camera capabilities as the newer S25 Ultra. The only minus is the upgraded 50MP ultra-wide camera. All that while costing about ₹40,000 less. Ashish Singh, Chief Copy Editor at Digit, noted, “If you’re a Samsung fan looking for the right time to upgrade your device to a flagship, now could be the perfect moment.”
If we have to talk about drawbacks, the only thing worth noting is its older processor. It might be a limitation for heavy gamers or power users.
The S24 Ultra features a 6.8-inch Quad HD+ Dynamic AMOLED display with up to 2,600 nits peak brightness, a 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass Armor protection, which reduces reflections by up to 75% in various lighting conditions. It runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset with Adreno 740 GPU, paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.
Currently on One UI 7 (Android 15), it will soon receive Android 16-based One UI 8 with around five years of OS updates still to come. The quad rear camera setup includes a 200MP OIS primary lens, 12MP ultra-wide lens, 10MP telephoto lens with 3x zoom and a 50MP periscope lens with 5x zoom. The front camera is a 12MP shooter.
It houses a 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging, Qi wireless charging support and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. The device also includes the S Pen with Bluetooth and air gesture functionality.
